We have just moved to a wide-open pasture located in the Quillans Corner area of Clermont (near the intersection of Highways 129 and 52 about 9 miles north of Gainesville.  The street address for the field is 5728 Brookton-Lula Road, Clermont, Georgia.

If you are coming from Gainesville, take Hwy. 129 north to the Quillans Corner area (you'll see "Quillans Corner" on a number of business signs).  Turn right between the bank and an Exxon station/grocery on Hwy. 52.  This is the Brookton-Lula although some signs only indicate "Lula" road.  You'll pass by the Wauka Mtn. Elementary School and a compactor station as you drive approximately 1/2 mile to the turn into the farm.  Look for our club sign and a mailbox with "5728" on the left side of the highway.  Turn left into the property owned by Mr. Shorty Delong and follow the arrows to our field.  You'll drive by his barn and then turn right beside a horse pasture and drive up the hill through the trees.  Follow the road to the right as you exit the trees and continue to our parking area.  If you drive past the pavilion, you'll be driving onto the runway so be careful to follow the signs!

If you are coming from west of Gainesville, you can turn off of Hwy. 60 (Thompson Bridge Road) onto Mt. Vernon Road (beside the Kroger Shopping Center.  This is also Hwy. 283.  Proceed east past North Hall School, past Jim Hood Road, and turn right onto Britt Whitmire Road.  When it dead ends, turn right on Bethel Road which will intersect with Hwy. 52.  Turn right and continue on to cross Hwy. 129.  Stay on Hwy. 52 (Brookton-Lula Road...AKA Lula Road).  You'll pass by the Wauka Mtn. Elementary School and a compactor station as you drive approximately 1/2 mile to the turn into the farm.  Look for our club sign and a mailbox with "5728" on the side.  Turn left into the property owned by Mr. Shorty Delong and follow the arrows to our field.  You'll drive by his barn and then turn right up the hill (and beside a horse pasture).  Bear right as you exit the trees and follow the arrows to our parking area.  If you drive past the pavilion, you'll be driving onto the runway so be careful to follow the signs!

If you're coming via I-985, take exit 24 and follow Hwy. 129 north approximately 10 miles to Hwy. 52 then follow the directions above.

We're glad you found us on the web and we hope to see you at our flying field in the near future. In the meantime browse around our site and learn about our group. We are a laid-back, friendly, and fun bunch of people.

Our club is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, so you'll need to be a current AMA member in order to fly with us. However, if you just want to come and watch and enjoy the good company and engage in some airplane talk, no AMA membership is required. We hope to see you soon!
